“KAMIKAZE” KOMISARSKI ENTERS CHILDREN’S DREAM FUND 50
February 21, 2024 – Bobby “The Kamikaze” Komisarski confirmed today that he will be participating in the Children’s Dream Fund 50’ March 2 at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, Florida. The co-sanctioned event between the Must See Racing Sprint Series presented by Perfit-Parts and the BG Products Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series will pay the winner of the event $10,000. The event is aimed at bringing awareness to the Children’s Dream Fund Organization.
Komisarski, nicknamed the “Kamikaze” due to his hard charging driving style, will be behind the wheel of the Vicki and Gene Fogle owned White Hare Racing entry. The team will be making their first-ever Florida appearance.
The Dayton, Ohio resident had a career year in 2023 with Must See Racing. He found himself on the podium on two occasions. He was leading at Berlin Raceway until he surrendered the lead late in the race. At the series finale in Plymouth, Indiana, he was running second to Davey Hamilton Jr. before the rear end broke on the final lap. He ultimately finished sixth in that race.
“When I saw the announcement about the ‘Children’s Dream Fund 50’ I was excited” explains Komisarski. “Any reason to get out of the cold in Ohio is a good reason. I think both series coming together is great. There is already a stacked field if you look at the list of drivers entered. It’s gonna be great for the drivers and fans. I can’t wait to get down there.”
“I’ve never been to Citrus County Speedway. I’ve been watching videos online. I’m just trying to get a good idea of the track. We’re gonna try to make it down for the Friday practice. That should help us out a lot. That’s gonna be a big help. It looks like a great Saturday night bullring short track. I’m looking forward to it. It falls into our wheelhouse of nice little bullrings.”
“I think qualifying is gonna be the most important thing. You’re gonna have to stay out of traffic and get clean air. White Hare Racing always brings me a great car. Every time I strap in, it’s ready to go. Qualifying is gonna be very important as far as how the race plays out. We got a lot better qualifying last year towards the end of the year. I’m excited to start the season off down there in Florida.”
“At the end of the day this race is for a good cause. I love it. I wish there were more races like it. One of our sponsors, Feed My Starving Children, gives back to the community. Giving back to the community and racing doesn’t get any better than that. We do a reverse sponsorship. We donate our winnings back to them. They make meals. We have participated in it as a team. We make meals and send them back to them to give to the children. I hope we pack the house and can help the Children’s Dream Fund.”
“Honestly, just being back with the guys again is what I’m looking forward to. Great weather, great group of guys, you’re not gonna find a more stacked field anywhere. It’s the best of the best. If we have a good finish, get through it unscathed, and have fun, I’ll be happy. I’m looking forward to the event and can’t wait to get down there” concluded Komisarski.
