TOP FIVE DRIVERS IN RECENT RANKINGS ARE FORMER MSR WINNERS

August 6, 2026 – The second edition of the 2026 National Pavement Sprint Car Rankings was released in late July. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the top five drivers in the rankings each are former Must See Racing feature winners.

Aaron Willison holds the top spot. Willison has won numerous times in MSR competition over the past three seasons. He last won an MSR event on July 23, 2025, when he captured the Bob Frey Classic at Sandusky Speedway.

Kody Swanson comes in at #2. Swanson swept a pair of MSR events including the $10,000 to win finale at Owosso Speedway last Labor Day Weekend.

Bobby Santos III sits at #3. Santos III is the winningest MSR driver over the past three seasons. He is the current series points leader and has won as recently as June 6, 2026, at Berlin Raceway.

Colton Bettis comes in at #4 in the current rankings. The 16-year-old Floridian captured his first career MSR victory this past May 8 at Anderson, South Carolina.

Davey Hamilton rounds out the top five of the current rankings. Hamilton Jr. has won numerous times in MSR competition, but it’s been since September 16, 2023, that Hamilton Jr. last won in MSR competition. He won an event at Plymouth, Indiana on that date. He did set a new track record at Anderson, South Carolina in MSR competition this past May 8.

To have the five top ranked drivers in the current rankings be former MSR winners is a testament to the competition level and competitive nature of the series.
