DEFENDING SOUTHERN CHAMP MILLER ADDS HIS NAME TO DREAM FUND 50
February 1, 2024 – Defending BG Products Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series champion Daniel Miller has committed to run in the March 2 ‘Childrens Dream Fund 50’ at Citrus County Speedway.
The race will pit the Must See Racing Sprint Series Presented by Perfit against the Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series in one of the most anticipated pavement sprint car races contested in Florida in 30 years. Nearly 30 cars are expected to participate in this event.
Miller, fresh off his series championship and a recent newlywed, was one of the first drivers to commit to the event. Miller is one of several Florida drivers expected to compete.
“I think this is gonna be an awesome event” Miller explained. ”To se see the northern guys and southern guys run together is gonna be fun. Obviously Must See is a big part of this race. I haven’t got to run with Must See yet, but my plan was to try to run with them at some point this year. But I think it’s a really cool thing we’re doing to help the Dream Fund.”
“With this race being at Citrus County I think we might have a slight advantage being that we’re gonna be at one of our home tracks. Like I said, it’s gonna be cool to run with these northern guys. Hopefully we’ll have a good race and have fun doing it.
To have success in this race we’re gonna have to be on our A game. We haven’t been on our A game the past few races. We’re gonna have to get some testing done and get the car dialed in. I’m confident we can get the job done and at least at top 3 finish. We got the car to do it, and the team to do it. We just have to put everything together and showcase what we have. I’m really looking forward to this event” concluded Miller.
‘The Children’s Dream Fund 50’ officially kicks off Friday March 1, 2024, with an open practice and a barbeque for teams at the conclusion of practice. Teams will have a chance to interact with each other to get familiar. The following nights’ racing action will be highlighted by qualifying and a 50-lap feature that will pay $5,000 to win.
Event promoter JJ Dutton announced there will be other promotional events leading up to the race all week. These events will be announced in the next few days. All of these events, including the race itself, are being used to draw awareness and raise funds for the Childrens Dream Fund non-profit organization.
