VETERAN BLOOM SET TO RETURN TO MUST SEE RACING COMPETITION THIS WEEKEND
June 7, 2022 – Veteran Bangor, Michigan driver Jeff Bloom is set to return to Must See Racing Sprint Series presented by Engine Pro competition this Friday night June 10 when the series visits Birch Run Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan. It will be the first time the series has competed at Birch Run Speedway since 2019.
Bloom, a 2013 inductee to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, will be returning to MSR competition after skipping the American Speed U.S. Nationals at Kalamazoo Speedway over Memorial Day Weekend. Bloom was absent from the event to focus on Little 500 activities, where he has picked up three victories in the 500-lap classic over the years.
Bloom now returns home to the series he has competed with full-time since its inception in 2010. Bloom scored a preliminary night feature event at the Indianapolis Speedrome last June to give him the distinction of having won feature events in seven different decades, a truly remarkable feat. The seventy -two-year old veteran driver is a fan favorite wherever he goes and has a huge following.
Bloom got off to a rough start when the series opened their 2022 season at South Boston Speedway in South Boston, Virginia. Bloom experienced engine issues on opening night when it was discovered he had a blown head gasket. Bloom indicated last Friday afternoon that he was in the process of repairing the engine. Bloom hasn’t been able to tend to the ailing engine until now due to a hectic May. He expects to be ready in time for this weekend’s race, but it will go right down to the wire.
Bloom will be one of several drivers who have captured an MSR feature victory expected to compete this Friday night. For more info on Must See Racing please visit www.mstseeracing.com.
